What is Project Rockhopper? It's is a web development and design firm based out of Norwood, Massachusetts; specializing in small business and nonprofit entities. It's also my creative outlet.

Who runs Project Rockhopper? My name is Ed Godbois. I'm a freelance web developer. I'm a self taught geek with a penchant for Sci-Fi and tech. I've been working in the technology industry for ten years.

Where is Project Rockhopper? I'm based out of Norwood, Massachusetts. But I work with clients from all over New England. Naturally most of my clients are also based in the Metrowest Boston area.

Who works for Project Rockhopper? You'd be surprised at how many design firms pretend to be larger than they really are. A recent industry survey reveals that 86 percent of self proclaimed "web design businesses" are really just one or two freelancers with a lot of "royal we" usage. That's what I am, without the deception. I do most of the developing and designing by myself. If a client needs specialized work I cannot accomodate, or if I have a heavy load; I outsource parts to other local professionals.

Unlike many competitors I do not outsource web and graphic design work to foreign countries. Every site design is made in the United States with local labor. Every cent received and spent by Project Rockhopper is funneled into small and local business.

What does that mean? Savings. For you. I don't have a fancy downtown office in the northend or a company car. I don't have a secretary. I work out of my comfortable home office with big, beautiful windows. I'm happy here, so why bother? In the end, it's all a waste. This allows me to charge for what really counts, the work done on your web site. That's it.

What else? Project Rockhopper is hosted on a server located in the United States. This server is also 130 percent green. It runs off of good clean solar and wind power. If you're into that type of thing too I can hook you up with a discounted rate.
